(Sawai, Head office: Osaka, Japan, President: Mitsuo Sawai) today announced the launch of Fluvoxamine Maleate Tablets in 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg strengths (the branded product: Luvox®*). The product was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Fluvoxamine Maleate Tablets 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg are prescribed for the treatment of obsessions and compulsions in patients with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD). The fluvoxamine tablet market had U.S. sales of approximately $28 million for the 12 months ending September 2019 according to IQVIA.
